All campus customers (departments, students, individuals) in need of in-warranty work for Dell hardware are asked to contact Dell directly at 1-800-624-9896.
Department customers in need of in-warranty work for Apple hardware are asked to contact Apple directly at 1-800-800-2775.
Please be sure to have the model and serial number of the Dell or Apple hardware you need work on when you call. Both manufacturers will make house calls for departmental desktop machines.

DOCS Hardware Support will continue to accept in-warranty work for hardware by Lenovo, Toshiba, HP, Sony, and Apple (from students and individuals), as well as non-warranty work for hardware by any manufacturer, both of which will be handled by DOCS's partners, ComputerCare (Apple hardware) and New Dimensions (all other hardware).
Users can drop off their equipment at D25 Hearst Field Annex (http://www.tsw.berkeley.edu/eStore/layoutgraphics/TAS-Map.jpg), Monday through Thursday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Official campus hardware warranty support unit for Apple, Dell, and Lenovo computers. CCRS also provides out-of-warranty hardware support for an hourly fee. Other services provided: data backup/transfer, OS Installation, memory and harddrive installation.

Campus departments can purchase firewall service from IST. IST can provide Cisco Systems' integrated Firewall Service Module (FWSM) or standalone NetScreen 5GT hardware firewalls.

The Communications group in the OCIO Technology Program Office supports the IST and Technology at Berkeley websites. It also produces UC Berkeley iNews and the Berkeley Computing and Communications newsletter, IT news for and about the campus. OCIOSTA provides professional technology-acquisition support to the campus.
